Busy Roadway In Westchester Reopens After Serious Crash

A stretch of a busy roadway in Northern Westchester has now reopened after a serious crash.

The closure on Route 117 in Chappaqua was in both directions by Kathleen Lane near the Mount Kisco border, according to New Castle Police.

The crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5.

At around 4:45 p.m., New Castle Police announce the roadway reopened.

Details on possible injuries have not yet been released.

Nearby, a separate crash was reported in Briarcliff Manor near the intersection of Route 9A and Chappaqua Road.

Farther north, a crash blocking the right shoulder on I-684 northbound is slowing traffic north of Exit 6 (Route 35 - Katonah/Cross River).
